Direction to our place
1 km after leaving Casais 3km from Monchique town, turn left up the hill at the very first road, just before you hit the first building.
Bunch of mailboxes on the corner, small sign saying Portela Baixa./ Serenada
Follow the little wiggly tarmac road up,carry on (past the gravel road on your right which goes to Fionas)
The road makes a bend to the left, right there on the corner. Right at the corner is a dirt track which rises steeply up behind the road
follow it all the way up to the house.

From Monchique
take the Casais road at the Nave Quarry and carry on that road towards Casais.3km
Just before you leave the Monchique area the Portela Baixa turning is on the right up the hill.
If you start going downhill round a bend with
a red house across the valley you've just gone too far and missed the Portela Baixa turning.

Dear Friends,
whilst in New Mexico I periodically, or should i say erratically wrote a food blog. It has a few decent recipes as well as some thoughts and musings on food, nutrition and even a little philosophy. Thought I might share it
http://rustyindian13.blogspot.pt

Supper club will be on again this coming Saturday night.
By request Indian food will feature again. Will post a menu later today or tomorrow.

take care
